Polaroid Snap Touch vs Polaroid Snap

  • In terms of looks and style, both cameras feel and look pretty similar. The Snap Touch comes in at 5.1 x 10.2 x 9.1 cm and weighs 390 grams. The Snap comes in at 2.5 x 12 x 7.5 cm ; 213 g. The snap touch is almost twice as heavy as the Snap. The Snap Touch comes in two additional colors – Purple and Pink.
  • The Polaroid Snap Touch vs Polaroid Snap use Zink Film Paper. It has reasonable picture quality, but we weren’t impressed by the quality of the prints. Zink paper is about US$15 for a pack of 30 film
  • The Polaroid Snap Touch has a LCD Screen, 128GB card vs 32GB Card and Bluetooth. The Snap has 32GB Memoery card and no LCD Screen and Bluetooth
  • Price: The Polaroid Snap is US$70 cheaper

Final Verdict

Polaroid Snap Touch vs Polaroid Snap. In our opinion, the winner is the Polaroid Snap. While the Snap Touch has more features and has more memory than the Snap, it just doesn’t justify the additional $70.00 The 13 Megapixel vs 10 Megapixel difference in image quality doesn’t translate to better print quality, the print equality is the same. The additional storage capacity of 96 GB on the SD Card isn’t going to make a lot of difference to most people, 32 GB is more than enough. The self mirror is a nice feature to have, but again its doesn’t justify the additional cost. Finally it all comes down to the Snap Touch having Bluetouch and being able to transfer to other devices. To be frank, when using the camera we had a difficult time trying to connect with other devices, and when we did we had a difficult to getting it to work. But when we did, we could understand why spending the extra US$70 for this feature was worth it. It allows people to upload pictures taken from say a hand phone so they can print from the Camera’s printer. You could get a USB SD Card Reader for about US5-10 that would allow you to do that.
